Race Day Help

Race Day Sign-up

Setting up a great event for racers requires a handful of things to happen. At NNKC, we can prevent burn-out for the few members/board members that regularly go through all these steps for every race. If you can spare some time in the morning or the afternoon for any of the options, please use the form below. If someone has volunteered for that position it will be listed in the table below as filled.

 Scale Area Set-up

Tech

  • Put up tables and short orange barriers for tech

  • Put up tent for tech

  • Bring out tech tools from Connex box

Scales

  • Open Roll-up Doors

  • Sweep and clean table inside as needed

  • Connect scale unit to wall plug

  • set orange cone at door opening

Quad Connex

  • Put up tent for quad driver

Shade tents and Barriers

Shade Tents

  • Set up main bleacher tents near scale area

  • Set up tents near B grid

  • Shade for flagger

Barriers and cones

  • Check that barriers are in proper position on track

 Flags and banners

Flags

  • Put up flags in grid area under shade port

  • Put up feather flags along 4 foot fence and 6 foot fence at scales

Banners

  • Hang sponsor banners

  • Hang team banners

  • Set up grid position board

Quad and Leaf Blowers

QUAD

**Quad takes regular pump gas**

  • Check Fuel on Quad

  • Set up corners

  • Corners are require one of each: yellow flag, fire extinguisher, chair and umbrella

Leaf Blowers

**Leaf blowers are 2 stroke motors which take the fuel/oil mixture that is in connex box**

  • Check fuel on blowers

  • Blow dirt off corners (2,3,5,8 are usually the worst)
